When I started the Dominion over Man series out of pure curiosity in 2015, I never would have imagined the online reach and reactions it would receive from people all over the world. As an animal lover and meat eater (at the time), it was a wild idea which I thought would be a comical way of holding a mirror up to society. I took the role reversal concept to the next level by researching each scenario and recreating it as accurately as possible from the reversed point of view. As the series progressed, so did my attention to detail. I observed interactions with pets and wildlife. I found inspiration from news events and animal rights organisations. People contacted me directly on social media with ideas they wanted to see reversed. It all resonated with me so deeply that it caused me to question my own behaviour and ethical beliefs. I became vegetarian as a result.

I hope that my art series will inspire people to examine their own behaviour and see animals as kindred spirits rather than something to be exploited for personal gain.
